AZ "Camping Trip": Day 2
Our second day started with the first day.
First we slept on the most uncomfortable bed, both tossing and turning until we had gotten a good hourage (that should be a word, even though its not) and then got up, had continental breakfast at the hotel. They had a Belgian Waffle maker, so we chowed down on that and some hard boiled eggs before leaving.
At this point its about 32 degrees. Which is much colder than I am used to. But somehow have fallen in like with snow, so it's actually enjoyable. Drive from Flagstaff to Williams, AZ and check into our next Mariott, which is also having their continental breakfast. Tim opts for his second breakfast, I opt to stay in our room and try to doze off before our train ride to the Grand Canyon.
We go to the train depot where we have a "Wild West" show before boarding the vintage train. We ride 2.5 hours at 40 mph to the Grand Canyon and on the way we saw wild cows, and snow. It was actually pretty great!
The Grand Canyon was amazing. I'm glad I was dressed warmly. It snowed and Tim was throwing snowballs at me.
